I Want To Live In Wyoming Poster

I want to live in Wyoming. It has the second lowest state population density, only 5.97 folk per square mile. [Pause.] Imagine the quiet!

I WANT TO LIVE IN WYOMING

This poster began as a simple design before falling victim to my penchant for clutter. Scenic vistas, wildlife,  cowboys, cowgals, vintage photos, historic personalities, all these and more were shoehorned in and tossed before arriving back at something simpler.

Other than mine, if I have read my sources correctly, all pictures used here are in the public domain.

N.B.: There are no photos of  Sacagawea. The photo by Orin G. Libby is of Mink (Hannah Levings) of the Arikara, Hidatsa, Mandan Nation with her baby posing as reference for a Corps of Discovery Centennial statue of Sacagawea with her son, Pomp.

The picture of “Bert & Bertie” (lower left) is by Wyoming photographer Lora Webb Nichols (1883-1962); more of her work can be found at Wyoming History Day.
